Instructor:
Dorr Clark.
A debate coach since 1998, Mr. Clark has worked one-on-one with twelve national champions in Parli and TP. As the founding debate chair of the StoaUSA national speech & debate league, he introduced Parliamentary debate, wrote the rules and orientation slides for both Parliamentary and TP, and made a lasting impact on Stoa students nationwide. Before Parli became a NITOC event in Stoa, he spent six years as a full-time high school Parli coach, leading three teams to CHSSA in NSDA in just five years. Course Fees:
The tuition for this course is $25 each or $65 for 3 sessions.
Schedule:
The course will meet on Friday evening via Zoom on
12/5, 12/12, 12/19 7- 9 pm EST / 4 - 6 pm PST
Partner:
If your regular partner is unavailable, you may invite a substitute or register individually, and we’ll arrange a suitable match for you.
Parental requirements:
We believe that when parents engage alongside students, they become stronger coaches and partners in their child’s learning journey. To support this goal, one parent is required to participate in each seminar as a judge. Families registering for three sessions are only required to judge two. If a parent is unable to serve as a judge, a $15 buyout fee may be paid per session to cover the cost of an alternate judge.
